QClamp® KRAS CE/IVD Specific Mutation Test is intended for in vitro diagnostic use in Codons 12, 13, 59, 61, 117, & 146

QClamp® KRAS Mutation Test The QClamp® KRAS Mutation Test in Codons 12, 13, 59, 61, 117, & 146 is a real-time qualitative PCR assay for the detection of somatic mutations in and near Codons 12 and 13 in Exon 2, Codons 59 and 61 in Exon 3, and Codons 117 and 146 in Exon 4 in the human KRAS gene, using purified DNA extracted from FFPE (formalin fixed paraffin embedded), cells or tissue.

The kit identifies the presence or absence of mutations in the targeted regions but does not specify the exact nature of the mutation. The codon specific detection kits are designed to detect any mutation at or near the stated codon site without specifying the exact nucleotide change. QClamp® is a revolutionary new way to screen for somatic mutations that utilizes a sequence-specific clamp that suppresses PCR amplification of wild-type template DNA. QClamp® allows selective PCR amplification of only mutant templates, which allows the detection of mutant DNA in the presence of a large excess of wild-type templates from a variety of samples including fresh tissue, FFPE, ctDNA, whole blood and plasma.
